Play Therapy

Therapeutic play is where the toddler/child engages in play in order to resolve the issues that brought them into therapy.  The issues can be anything from trauma, exposure to familial conflict, to loss of a loved one. The play therapist uses such tools as a sandbox, drawing and/or coloring pictures, playing games, and playing with dolls or other toys.  Many children do not have words for what they are feeling so engaging them in play allows them to process their feelings without the necessity of conventional therapy.  We begin seeing toddlers at four years old and we believe that your child will love our child specialist, Pamela Beck.
