Domestic Violence affects all members of a family and is not limited to physical injuries. Demeaning language, destruction of property, isolation and intimidation are all aspects of domestic violence which may not be recognized by law enforcement, social services or the public in general. Domestic violence can occur over a long period of time and often has the victim question his/her own sanity, capabilities and self-worth. The most courageous decision a survivor can make is to begin to leave an abusive relationship. We realize that the first attempt to end this vicious cycle of violence will probably not be the last. We will be there to help survivors and their families through the difficult and challenging journey to safety and self reliance.
